The M27 is a Czechoslovakian semi-automatic pistol, based on the pistole vz. 24, and chambered for 7.65 mm Browning/.32 ACP. It was designed by Frantisek Myska introduced in 1927 and continued in production until 1951 with almost 700,000 produced. It was manufactured by Česká Zbrojovka (Bohemian Arms Factory) of Strakonice, Czechoslovakia. Serial numbers for “fnh” CZ 27 pistols range from approximately 261,000 to 476,000.
The Model 27 was made for police, security guards and commercial sale until German Occupation in 1939. Production continued under German supervision until 1945 with about 450,000 being produced in that time frame.
German marking on right side above pistol grip and on the right side of barrel at ejection opening.
