M14 Walnut Stock

Description

An original M14 walnut “Big Red” wood stock.  These are a late production modified design of the original M14 wood stock.   Most walnut big reds do have original DAS and Circle P stamps, as they were original issue on production rifles.

Walnut big reds are the most rare pattern of wood USGI M14 stocks (other than match stocks) The United States was running out of walnut as the M14 stock was being redesigned – birch was being phased in, so most of the “big reds” are birch.

Very Good – looks well used.  Will have multiple dings and scratches, finish is OK to rough. May have a minor arsenal or manufacturer’s repair.  Metal is used (worn). No unrepaired cracks.  Straight (not fancy) grain.
